Former model Keyatta Mincey has over 20 years in the foodservice industry where she found bond between herself and the drinks that she was making. “Talking to people is what I love most about bartending, and it’s how I perfect my ideas,” says Mincey. “I love to create, so I take the time to talk to guests, find out how they’re feeling and build a relationship, so I can craft truly signature cocktails.”
When she’s not behind the bar, Keyatta is partnering with some of the most influential spirits brands like Jack Daniels, Patron and Tanqueray. She is also busy representing restaurants and brands at national cocktail competitions and culinary events across the country.
Kysha Cyrus began her career in the food and beverage industry working at local Atlanta restaurants as a bartender and cocktail server. In 2003, Cyrus landed a job at Emeril’s Atlanta. She used her time there to learn as much as possible about premium spirits and mixology and quickly grew into a position as a bartender. In 2012 the owners of Joystick game bar asked Cyrus to come on as Bar Manager, where she developed a solid bar program that was approachable, yet complex.
Kysha is currently working with Andy Minchow at Ration and Dram as the bar manager, where she’s focusing on classic cocktail styles and introducing people to spirits they might have forgotten. “Vermouth and amaro is where I live right now”, says Kysha. At Ration, she’s mixing up cocktails that feature a wide variety of vermouth or amaro.
Shannon Evans is the founder of Studio No. 7, an event and creative space in Downtown Atlanta. In addition to the space, she works with brands on curating food and beverage experiences. She’s currently working with Martell Cognac on the beverage program for their pop up venue as well as the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival on their Connoisseur Dinner Series. Shannon was named by Atlanta Magazine as one of the “Ones to Watch” in the Atlanta food scene. Her street food and global inspired cocktails dinner party series called Midnight Barbecue allows her to highlight her Jamaican upbringing while exploring other cultures.
Tokiwa Sears is well-known mixologist in the Atlanta area. I first met her at Holeman & Finch a couple of years ago while sitting at the bar. She’s crafted cocktails at of Atlanta’s best restaurants that includes, Southern Art & Bourbon Bar and One Flew South.
In addition to being a founding member of the all-female cocktail collective “Drinking with the Girls”, Tokiwa supports diverse female talent in cocktail-centric events, charitable causes, bar takeovers and provides consulting. She can currently be found shaking things up at Bar Margot located inside of the Four Seasons in Midtown Atlanta.
Sadiyyah Iddeen, has been in the hospitality industry for more than ten years creating both traditional and one of a kind cocktails for people who are not afraid to explore. Saddiyah says, “My energy stems from creativity. It allows me to be who I am and to provide an absolutely positive experience”. What she loves about being a bartender is the ability to show creativity by using fresh ingredients to create a “super fantastic” drink.
Kaleb Cribb – Diageo Account Consultant | Tanqueray Gin
Kaleb Cribb has worked in the hospitality industry for more than fifteen years. Over that time, he has held every position within a restaurant, resulting in bar management for eight of those fifteen years. A native Georgian, Kaleb has called Atlanta home for six years now. In those six years, he has worked as a mixologist for the largest distributor in Georgia, run a nationally recognized bar program, and acquired several professional degrees including Certified Spirits Specialist and BarSmarts Advanced. With attention towards national recognition, Kaleb has volunteered for Team Taco at the San Antonio Cocktail Conference for three years, attended Portland Cocktail Week, and has assisted in several Speed Rack competitions. In his spare time, Kaleb enjoys the outdoors and watching/ playing sports.
